Yoli’s launch couldn’t be more timely…Flu season rolling in!
August 31, 2009
Yoli products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
Yoli is opening its doors at the end of September, 2009. The Yoli Truth product will officially be shipping as we go into pre-launch…
As you and I both know, its that time of year when many people start to catch colds and unfortunately many people also get the flu. With all of the swine flu scare this year, everyone is going to be on high alert to try and avoid this mess.

A theory gaining weight in the scientific community explains influenza epidemics as a result of a dormant disease, which become active in response to vitamin D deficiency. A disease that remains dormant until vitamin D-producing sunlight exposure is reduced by a winter or rainy season would explain a widespread seasonal disease with a rapid onset and decline. Also…
Colds, flu, fever, - the just plain sick syndrome is the result of a sudden dose of environmental poisons, the most common one being, refined sugar. Of course sitting for fifteen minutes behind a greyhound bus in heavy traffic in an auto filled with positive ions can have a similar effect or add to lesser amounts of the primary evil causing the problem.
Sugar shuts off white cells and bacteria always present multiply and put toxins in our systems. Yoli’s Truth Blast has no sugar and will add large amounts of nutrients into the body. The antioxidants will help to rid the body of the garbage that tends to build up inside of us when we live in a society loaded with toxins. With 200% of your daily vitamin C requirements, alkaplex, probiotics, goji, acai, pomegranate juice and other key ingredients all in one powerf
ul Yoli Truth Citrus Health Blast drink you are going to feel great and your body will love you for it.
With flu season in full swing here in the United States, you need to be aware that your vitamin D levels play a direct role in your risk of getting the flu as well.
The vitamin D levels in your blood fall to their lowest point during flu season, which generally coincide with low-sunlight seasons. Less than optimal vitamin D levels will significantly impair your immune response and make you far more susceptible to contracting colds, influenza, and other respiratory infections.
Consuming the delicious Yoli Truth Citrus Health Blast drinks during this time will help our immune system by giving our bodies a great amount of nutrition in a simple and convenient way.
Be sure to get about 20 to 30 minutes of sun exposure each day to get plenty of vitamin D and you should be well prepared to fend off a cold or the flu during this season.
Yoli Party at Corey Citron’s new pad…The new “Truth” formula tastes amazing!
August 30, 2009
I had a “blast” hanging out with a small group of people at Corey Citron’s new house in Los Angeles last night…
As usual, Corey was tearing it up on the DJ mixing table at his place. Corey, you rock! LOL

I met a lot of great people excited about what Yoli is bringing to the table to improve our health and to help each of us create a tremendous passive income. Fortunately, Corey had plenty of Yoli Truth available for us to drink it like water.
The NEW Yoli Truth Citrus Health Blast formula tastes awesome!
I could drink this all day long. It is just so refreshing. It was really wild. I was up partying at Corey’s place until late in the evening and only got about 7 hours of sleep because my little girl, Amaya likes to wake up early some mornings…
I woke up this morning as if I had gone to bed at 9am and slept a full 8 or 9 hours. I had a ton of energy right out of bed! Even with good sleep I never have that level of energy. I was actually running up my stairs at 7am in the morning and didn’t realize I did it until I got to the top. It was something else!
All I can say is that I can’t wait to have a regular supply of Yoli Truth in the house so I can be consuming it throughout the day, everyday. We have something special here with Yoli and you are going to be blown away at what this company is going to do for our health and our opportunity to create financial freedom for many people around us.
I can’t wait for my samples to arrive this week. I have a TON of people chomping at the bit to taste it for themselves so that they can join us on this fun ride with Yoli. If you’d like to order samples for yourself, just go to YoliTools.com and you can get 2 free samples or order many more.
I just want to thank Corey for having me over to his place and entertaining us all night long. Tons of fun brother! I’ve met so many great people in this business and its only getting better with Yoli!
Yoli Helps Children Update: Simple changes we can make to improve this growing problem…we can do it!
August 30, 2009
After putting together my blog post on the new study that supports what Yoli is trying to do to help us and our children improve our health, lower sugar intake and assist in breaking the obesity epidemic, I wanted to share with you the summary of the report and comment on the recommendations (which still aren’t that great) so that we can all start to improve the situation and start getting healthier today. Please read the details below and share your thoughts in the comment section…
Consumer knowledge and practice in relation to drinks for children and young people
Publication date: August 2009
Summary

- Parents and teenagers had a good idea of which drinks were healthier than others, but most did not count drinks as part of their daily food consumption. Calories from drinks are therefore invisible to them
- The main concern around drinks (when probed) was sugar content and in particular, ‘hidden sugars’.
This was followed by E numbers, and then fat and caffeine content to a lesser extent - (There are many other factors that we have to consider as well – preservatives, pasteurization, dyes and more – Yoli has none of this and still tastes great) - Schools (via policies and the curriculum), doctors and dentists were seen as key informants and
influencers when it came to nutrition information. Most parents felt it was the government’s duty to inform the general public and the school’s responsibility to inform the children of the correct guidelines.
Many parents reported learning about healthy eating from their children - (we have to take control of this and not rely on the government or the schools. They are heavily lobbied by these food and drink manufacturers. Yoli can help to break this cycle) - A common view was that parental control over food intake is somewhat lost when children reach a certain age. While younger children were said to be influenced both by what their parents purchase and school policies, teenagers were influenced by other factors when choosing their drinks, including cost, advertising and, to a great extent, image - (Keep Yoli in the house)
- Parents perceived the increased variety of drinks in the marketplace as a negative, as it causes confusion as to what is ‘healthy’ and ‘unhealthy’. They also said they find it difficult to access information on the content of drinks and believe that juices and juice drinks (anything that does
not constitute ‘soft drinks’) are mainly healthy. Many called for clearer and easier to understand information to be provided on pack. - (All these drinks are masked with fancy labels and terms – you are really just consuming sugar and water with a lot of other crap that is not good for us)

Key messages for consumers
- Drinks are an important part of our diets (and calorie intakes) and need to considered as part of our overall food intake because of the nutrients they provide (or lack of them) and how they affect our appetite. - (Yoli is good for us and has nearly ZERO calories)
- Milk and water are the most suitable drinks between meals - (most of the water we drink is not that good for us. Low alkalinity, fluoride and other substances make today’s drinking water low grade. Most of us know, or should know that dairy in general is not really good for the body. All humans have some level of allergic reaction to milk. Mucus build up, etc. Also, milk has plenty of sugar in it naturally. Yoli can help us get high levels of nutrition while also reducing the sugar and calories we intake)
- Low-fat or semi-skimmed milk is suitable for children aged two and upwards who are eating well. Babies and toddlers need the extra calories provided by full fat or whole milk – (Yoli’s Baby Blasts that are coming in the future should improve nutrition and convenience for our little ones…stay tuned on this)
- Flavored milk and hot chocolate are good alternative sources of calcium for those who do not drink milk, but they should be reserved for mealtimes because they contain added sugar. When buying them compare the labels and choose those with the lowest amount of added sugar - (These are loaded with sugar – stay away! Yoli will help to suppress your appetite and keep good nutrition in your body)
- Fruit juice is a good choice, though there are a number of points to consider:
–– Juices can contain sugar so choose 100% pure fruit juices that are unsweetened,
i.e. contain no added sugar - (no added sugar or not, these juices have no fiber and the sugar from the fruit is just as bad for you. Sugar is sugar, whether its from natural sources or not. We have to cut back. That is why Yoli is bringing their BlastCap products to market.)
–– Juices only count as one portion of your 5-a-day fruit and vegetables requirements, regardless of
how much you drink - (Yoli Truth contains 6 servings of fruits and vegetables in one drink)
–– 100% pure fruit juices made ‘from concentrate’ count equally towards your 5-a-day - (just don’t consume them)
–– All types of fruit juice are acidic and can damage teeth, so they are better kept to mealtimes and
consumed with a straw – (don’t drink this stuff, we can do better)
–– When giving fruit juices to children, it is best to dilute them – one part juice to ten parts water - (Just give them Yoli as an alternative, now we can) - Squashes and ‘juice/fruit drinks’ often contain very little juice and quite a lot of sugar, so keep them to a minimum. Sugar-free squashes are a healthier alternative - (again, you know what I’m going to say)
- Fizzy drinks contain a lot of sugar and are also acidic, so they can be very harmful to teeth and should not be drunk too often. Ideally they should be drunk with a straw and with meals. ‘Sugar-free’ or ‘diet’ varieties do contain less sugar but are still acidic. Using a straw will reduce the amount of sugar that comes into contact with teeth - (stop the madness, if it’s bad for our teeth, what do you think it does to our bodies? Acidic? Do we really want this stuff inside our bodies and our kids bodies – I’m opting out…)
- Stimulant or so-called ‘energy’ drinks usually contain a lot of sugar and caffeine. These drinks are not suitable as thirst quenchers after sports activities and should not be drunk with alcohol or medication. Children under 16 or pregnant women should not drink energy drinks. Sports drinks can be helpful to those who are doing intensive sport lasting longer than 60 minutes, but because of their high sugar content they should not be drunk every day, or outside of sporting activities - (caffeine is the new over-the-counter drug of choice, our kids will soon be consuming this fake form of energy regularly if we don’t do something about it now. give Yoli a chance)
- When choosing hot drinks, ask for them to be made with low fat/skimmed milk and go for regular size options rather than larger ones – (caffeine, pasteurized milk, sugars – it never ends)
- Consumers should read the labels on drinks and compare brands for their fat and sugar content - (this is key, we need to understand what we are putting into our bodies each day)
- Parents and guardians can encourage children to choose healthier drinks by following these tips: (THIS IS WHERE WE CAN MAKE THE BIGGEST IMPACT)
–– Make healthier choices when shopping – if you limit what’s available, then it is easier for younger children to make healthier choices
–– Don’t be afraid to make changes at home. Parents who simply stop buying unhealthy drinks say it
works, despite some initial resistance (with Yoli coming to the house each month, it only makes this process easier)
–– Make healthy drinks fun – use straws, brightly colored bottles and different types of glasses to encourage younger children to consume milk and water - (Yoli is a ton of fun – kids and adults love the “blasting” WOW effect that Yoli drinks have)
–– Teenagers will be more interested in knowing the short term benefits of choosing healthy drinks, which will help them to make healthier choices
–– Remember – every little step counts! – (this is so true, we just need to do a little bit each day and we can make a BIG impact, you can do it…)

Yoli Truth: Goji Berry Delivers Great Nutrition – Details Inside…
August 29, 2009
I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately about the Yoli Truth ingredients so I wanted to continue to break down each of the ingredients to give you a detailed explanation of each of the life changing nutrients in the Yoli Truth Citrus Health Blast drink. Below I have everything you need to know about the amazing Goji berry that is included in Yoli’s first blast to hit the market…
Macronutrients
Goji berry contains significant percentages of a day’s macronutrient needs – carbohydrates, protein, fat and dietary fiber. 68% of the mass of dried goji berries exists as carbohydrate, 12% as protein, and 10% each as fiber and fat, giving a total caloric value in a 100 gram serving of 370 (kilo)calories.[47]

Micronutrients and phytochemicals
Goji berries contain many nutrients and phytochemicals including
* 11 essential and 22 trace dietary minerals
* 18 amino acids
* 6 essential vitamins
* 8 polysaccharides and 6 monosaccharides
* 5 unsaturated fatty acids, including the essential fatty acids, linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid
* beta-sitosterol and other phytosterols
* 5 carotenoids, including beta-carotene and zeaxanthin (below), lutein, lycopene and cryptoxanthin, a xanthophyll
* numerous phenolic pigments (phenols) associated with antioxidant properties
Select examples given below are for 100 grams of dried berries. Other nutrient data are presented in two reference texts
* Calcium. Goji berries contain 112 mg per 100 gram serving, providing about 8-10% of the Dietary Reference Intake (DRI).
* Potassium. Goji berries contain 1,132 mg per 100 grams dried fruit, giving about 24% of the DRI.
* Iron. Goji berries have 9 mg iron per 100 grams (100% DRI).
* Zinc. 2 mg per 100 grams dried fruit (18% DRI).
* Selenium. 100 grams of dried goji berries contain 50 micrograms (91% DRI)
* Riboflavin (vitamin B2). At 1.3 mg, 100 grams of dried goji berries provide 100% of DRI.
* Vitamin C. Vitamin C content in dried goji berries has a wide range from 29 mg per 100 grams to as high as 148 mg per 100 grams (respectively, 32% and 163% DRI).
Goji berries also contain numerous phytochemicals for which there are no established DRI values. Examples:
* Beta-carotene: 7 mg per 100 grams dried fruit.
* Zeaxanthin. Reported values for zeaxanthin content in dried goji berries vary considerably, from 2.4 mg per 100 grams [48] to 82.4 mg per 100 grams [49] to 200 mg per 100 grams[50]. The higher values would make Goji berry one of the richest edible plant sources known for zeaxanthin content.[51] Up to 77% of total carotenoids present in Goji berry exist as zeaxanthin.
* Polysaccharides. Polysaccharides are a major constituent of wolfberries, representing up to 31% of pulp weight.
Goji berry polysaccharides
One study published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology found that:
* Endogenous lipid peroxidation, and decreased antioxidant activities, as assessed by superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and total antioxidant capacity (TAOC), and immune function were observed in aged mice and restored to normal levels in Lycium polysaccharide-treated groups.
* Antioxidant activities of Lycium barbarum polysaccharides were found to be compable with normal antioxidant, vitamin C. Furthemore, adding vitamin C to the polysaccharide treatment further increased in vivo antioxidant activity of the polysaccharides.
* It was concluded that Lycium barbarum polysaccharides can be used to compensate for the decline in TAOC, immune function and activities of antioxidant enzymes thereby reducing age-accelerated risks of lipid peroxidation caused by free radical production.
As you can see Yoli’s amazing potential comes from its ability to include many super nutrition in one single drink using the patented blast cap technology.

Yoli Blast Cap Drinks can fix this – AHA, “American adults eat 22 teaspoons of sugar a day” – Video Exposes The Truth
August 28, 2009
Hot off the presses from the American Heart Association… This is why the Yoli founders want to help you improve your health and assist us in breaking this trend. Yoli’s patented BlastCap technology can help each of us break the cycle of heavy sugar consumption. This is rediculous and as you’ll see in the video and in the report below is that beverages are the biggest problem. Make that beverage a Yoli Truth Citrus Health Blast and we can put a stop to this massive amount of sugar intake.
The Associated Press
updated 5:17 p.m. MT, Mon., Aug 24, 2009
A spoonful of sugar? Americans are swallowing 22 teaspoons of sugar each day, and it’s time to cut way back, the American Heart Association says.
Most of that added sugar comes from soft drinks and candy — a whopping 355 calories and the equivalent of guzzling two cans of soda and eating a chocolate bar.
By comparison, most women should be getting no more than 6 teaspoons a day, or 100 calories, of added sugar — the sweeteners and syrups that are added to foods during processing, preparation or at the table. For most men, the recommended limit is 9 teaspoons, or 150 calories, the heart group says.
The guidelines do not apply to naturally occurring sugars like those found in fruit, vegetables or dairy products.
Rachel K. Johnson, lead author of the statement published online Monday in the American Heart Association journal Circulation, said it was time to give specific advice on how much added sugar Americans should be getting, not just advising moderation.
“Take a good hard look at your diet,” said Johnson, professor of nutrition at the University of Vermont in Burlington. “Figure out where the sources of added sugars are and think about how to cut back on that.”
She said about 8 ounces of fruit-flavored yogurt has about 6 teaspoons of added sugar; 8 ounces of low-fat chocolate milk has about 4 teaspoons; a cup of frosted whole grain cereal has about 3 teaspoons.
Soft drinks are the biggest culprit
- (Yoli can make a difference)
The biggest culprits for the glut of sugar? Soft drinks by far, followed by candy, cakes, cookies and pies.
With about 8 teaspoons of added sugar, a regular 12-ounce soft drink will put most women over the recommended daily limit.
Cutting back on sugar likely won’t be easy for many people, said Lona Sandon, a dietitian at Dallas’ University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. - (With Yoli it will be easy and fun for you and the kids)
“I think it’s probably going to be a struggle for quite a few people,” Sandon said.
Calculating one’s sugar intake can be tricky as the government doesn’t require labels to differentiate added sugars from naturally occurring sugars, said Johnson. But she points out that the biggest sources, like regular soft drinks and sweets, are pretty obvious. And the U.S. Department of Agriculture has a database for the added sugar in some foods.
—> To check for added sugar, look for a variety of ingredients including sugar, corn syrup, fructose, dextrose, molasses or evaporated cane juice on the label. - (This stuff is everywhere, even in the many so-called “healthy” bevereages out there)
Teens eat 34 teaspoons of sugar a day
The heart group didn’t recommend general limits for added sugar for children; a national health survey has shown that kids ages 14 to 18 consume an —> eye-popping 34 teaspoons of added sugar a day. - (we have to use Yoli to help teens make a better decision, just put Yoli in the house and the kids will drink it. It tastes great!)
Sandon said that parents can help lower that sugar intake by getting soda out of the house, looking at how much sugar is in their kids’ cereal and substituting snacks like cookies with popcorn.
Johnson concedes that sugar does play an important role in enhancing the taste of food, adding: “If you feel like, ‘I just can’t live with this low amount of sugar in my diet,’ then what you need to do is up your energy needs.”
In other words, she said, get moving. A man in his early 20s who walks more than three miles a day could consume about 288 calories, or about 18 teaspoons, of added sugar.
The statement says data indicates added sugar is contributing to Americans consuming too many discretionary calories — the number of calories remaining after a person eats the foods needed to meet nutrient requirements.
“We know for sure that if you are consuming excessive amounts of added sugar, you will add calories, which leads to weight gain, or you will displace other essential nutrients,” she said.
On average, most women need about 1,800 calories a day and most men need about 2,200, Johnson said.
If someone drinks their daily calorie needs in soft drinks, they will be maintaining their weight, but won’t be getting any nutrients, she said. - (This is Yoli’s mission to help you and I make it easy to get the nutrition you and I need and to make it fun and convenient)
Wahida Karmally, nutrition director at Columbia University’s Irving Institute for Clinical and Translational Research, said that with these guidelines, it’s important to remember overall moderation. Some people, for instance, might be doing fine in their sugar consumption but are overdoing it on fat.
“I don’t want people to go back thinking if I just cut back on teaspoons of sugar I’m going to be very healthy,” she said.

Yoli can help with longterm weight control…new evidence proves it!
August 27, 2009
This is new study supports the what Yoli is trying to do… The beauty is that Yoli can provide you with so much more than just an alternative to sugar. Yoli will deliver the highest amounts of nutrition in one drink than has ever been seen before. This will further assist us in our efforts to stay lean, increase our energy levels and feel great. I would love your feedback. Give me your opinion, leave a comment below…
Consumption Of Sugar Substitutes Assists In Longterm Weight Control
A new study published in the International Journal of Obesity reports that consumption of sugar-free beverages sweetened with low-calorie sweeteners increases dietary restraint, a key aspect of successful weight maintenance.
Researchers analyzed calorie, protein, carbohydrate, fat and beverage intake, as well as the dietary restraint of over 300 individuals. The researchers concluded, “Our findings…suggest that the use of artificially sweetened beverages may be an important weight control strategy among WLM [weight loss maintainers].”
The researchers also stated, “The current study suggests that WLM use more dietary strategies to accomplish their WLM, including greater restriction of fat intake, use of fat and sugar modified foods, reduced consumption of caloric beverages and increased consumption of artificially sweetened beverages.”
This study builds upon the findings from a 2002 study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition which found consumers of sugar substitutes had significantly greater weight loss compared with participants who did not consume sugar substitutes.
According to Dr. Adam Drewnowski, director, Center for Public Health Nutrition at the University of Washington, “Low-calorie sweeteners and reduced-calorie products are not magic bullets, which means using these products will not result in automatic weight loss. Instead, people looking to lose or maintain weight, can use low-calorie sweeteners in addition to other tools (such as portion control, exercise, etc.) to help manage their calories.”
Dr. Drewnowski co-authored a recent research review of low-calorie sweeteners, published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, which found that low-calorie sweeteners and the products that contain them can help people reduce their calorie intake and were associated with modest weight loss.
More than 194 million Americans are consuming low and reduced calorie foods and beverages, according to the Calorie Control Council’s most recent national consumer survey. The Council, a non-profit trade association, has noted that this number will likely continue to rise as more consumers begin to understand that “calories count” for weight loss and weight maintenance.
