Yoli: Network Marketing Online – Knowing the Mechanics

April 13, 2010

Are you getting started with online marketing? Maybe your experiencing some of the same problems that allot of us do in the beginning; lack of leads, lack of money, lack of marketing training and lack of duplication. Not the “L word” you want…
I experienced all of the above and wanted desperately to find the “magic fix”. So, I dove deeper into educating myself and learned some of the basic principals of how marketing online actually works and it helped me fit all pieces together. No more fluff or spending money on marketing tools that didn’t work.
Understanding the mechanics of how it all fits together is part of the “magic”. Knowing these fundamental principals when your starting out can help cut the confusion and move you forward to build a solid foundation in your business.
Here are five key elements to building a business online.
1) You need a customized lead capture page. Having a customized capture page with your own video or picture along with proper text tells your prospect aboutyou, people want to know who you are before they do business with you. This along with your sales funnel has to be in place before you can start to market and build your business because capturing your prospects information is how your going to build your business.
2) Next is knowing how to market and leverage your business online. There are allot of effective ways to market online choose one or two methods to start and stick with them until you have mastered them. When you hop around from method to method you really never get good at any of them. Work on building your list of prospects that have gone to your capture page. Its all about building your list and your relationship with the people on it. You can start to do this by sending your prospects valuable marketing information.
3) The Funded Proposal System; Having a funded proposal system will help you pay for your monthly business expenses and help the people on your list build their business with valuable marketing resources that you offer. Having this income stream outside your Primary MLM opportunity is essential.
4) Training Platform; Once you have allot of people on your list you wont have time to train everyone everything. Having a duplicatable training platform that you can refer people to will take some of the work load off of you plus you can give your team access to some of the best training in the industry.
5) When people have come through your sales funnel introducing them to your Primary opportunity will be more natural, your not pitching, most people are interested and actually ask you questions about it first. How cool is that?
Learning how to grow your MLM Home Business online can feel like information overload sometimes. It takes time and persistence, knowing how to network and leverage the internet the right way you will build a strong foundation in your business.

Yoli Truth: High Fructose Corn Syrup Is Worse Than Sugar

April 7, 2010

A sweet problem: Princeton researchers find that high-fructose corn syrup prompts considerably more weight gain

A Princeton University research team has demonstrated that all sweeteners are not equal when it comes to weight gain: Rats with access to high-fructose corn syrup gained significantly more weight than those with access to table sugar, even when their overall caloric intake was the same.

Princeton University research team, including (from left) undergraduate Elyse Powell, psychology professor Bart Hoebel, visiting research associate Nicole Avena and graduate student Miriam Bocarsly, has demonstrated that rats with access to high-fructose corn syrup -- a sweetener found in many popular sodas -- gain significantly more weight than those with access to water sweetened with table sugar, even when they consume the same number of calories. The work may have important implications for understanding obesity trends in the United States. (Photo: Denise Applewhite)

“has demonstrated that rats with access to high-fructose corn syrup — a sweetener found in many popular sodas — gain significantly more weight than those with access to water sweetened with table sugar, even when they consume the same number of calories.”

In addition to causing significant weight gain in lab animals, long-term consumption of high-fructose corn syrup also led to abnormal increases in body fat, especially in the abdomen, and a rise in circulating blood fats called triglycerides. The researchers say the work sheds light on the factors contributing to obesity trends in the United States.

“Some people have claimed that high-fructose corn syrup is no different than other sweeteners when it comes to weight gain and obesity, but our results make it clear that this just isn’t true, at least under the conditions of our tests,” said psychology professor Bart Hoebel, who specializes in the neuroscience of appetite, weight and sugar addiction. “When rats are drinking high-fructose corn syrup at levels well below those in soda pop, they’re becoming obese — every single one, across the board. Even when rats are fed a high-fat diet, you don’t see this; they don’t all gain extra weight.”
In results published online March 18 by the journal Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Behavior, the researchers from the Department of Psychology and the Princeton Neuroscience Institute reported on two experiments investigating the link between the consumption of high-fructose corn syrup and obesity.

The first study showed that male rats given water sweetened with high-fructose corn syrup in addition to a standard diet of rat chow gained much more weight than male rats that received water sweetened with table sugar, or sucrose, in conjunction with the standard diet. The concentration of sugar in the sucrose solution was the same as is found in some commercial soft drinks, while the high-fructose corn syrup solution was half as concentrated as most sodas.

The second experiment — the first long-term study of the effects of high-fructose corn syrup consumption on obesity in lab animals — monitored weight gain, body fat and triglyceride levels in rats with access to high-fructose corn syrup over a period of six months. Compared to animals eating only rat chow, rats on a diet rich in high-fructose corn syrup showed characteristic signs of a dangerous condition known in humans as the metabolic syndrome, including abnormal weight gain, significant increases in circulating triglycerides and augmented fat deposition, especially visceral fat around the belly. Male rats in particular ballooned in size: Animals with access to high-fructose corn syrup gained 48 percent more weight than those eating a normal diet.

“These rats aren’t just getting fat; they’re demonstrating characteristics of obesity, including substantial increases in abdominal fat and circulating triglycerides,” said Princeton graduate student Miriam Bocarsly. “In humans, these same characteristics are known risk factors for high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, cancer and diabetes.” In addition to Hoebel and Bocarsly, the research team included Princeton undergraduate Elyse Powell and visiting research associate Nicole Avena, who was affiliated with Rockefeller University during the study and is now on the faculty at the University of Florida. The Princeton researchers note that they do not know yet why high-fructose corn syrup fed to rats in their study generated more triglycerides, and more body fat that resulted in obesity.

High-fructose corn syrup and sucrose are both compounds that contain the simple sugars fructose and glucose, but there at least two clear differences between them. First, sucrose is composed of equal amounts of the two simple sugars — it is 50 percent fructose and 50 percent glucose — but the typical high-fructose corn syrup used in this study features a slightly imbalanced ratio, containing 55 percent fructose and 42 percent glucose. Larger sugar molecules called higher saccharides make up the remaining 3 percent of the sweetener. Second, as a result of the manufacturing process for high-fructose corn syrup, the fructose molecules in the sweetener are free and unbound, ready for absorption and utilization. In contrast, every fructose molecule in sucrose that comes from cane sugar or beet sugar is bound to a corresponding glucose molecule and must go through an extra metabolic step before it can be utilized.

This creates a fascinating puzzle. The rats in the Princeton study became obese by drinking high-fructose corn syrup, but not by drinking sucrose. The critical differences in appetite, metabolism and gene expression that underlie this phenomenon are yet to be discovered, but may relate to the fact that excess fructose is being metabolized to produce fat, while glucose is largely being processed for energy or stored as a carbohydrate, called glycogen, in the liver and muscles.

In the 40 years since the introduction of high-fructose corn syrup as a cost-effective sweetener in the American diet, rates of obesity in the U.S. have skyrocketed, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In 1970, around 15 percent of the U.S. population met the definition for obesity; today, roughly one-third of the American adults are considered obese, the CDC reported. High-fructose corn syrup is found in a wide range of foods and beverages, including fruit juice, soda, cereal, bread, yogurt, ketchup and mayonnaise. On average, Americans consume 60 pounds of the sweetener per person every year.

“Our findings lend support to the theory that the excessive consumption of high-fructose corn syrup found in many beverages may be an important factor in the obesity epidemic,” Avena said.

The new research complements previous work led by Hoebel and Avena demonstrating that sucrose can be addictive, having effects on the brain similar to some drugs of abuse.

In the future, the team intends to explore how the animals respond to the consumption of high-fructose corn syrup in conjunction with a high-fat diet — the equivalent of a typical fast-food meal containing a hamburger, fries and soda — and whether excessive high-fructose corn syrup consumption contributes to the diseases associated with obesity. Another step will be to study how fructose affects brain function in the control of appetite.

The research was supported by the U.S. Public Health Service.

Yoli Blast Caps: NYC Releases Fat Drinking Video to Fight Obesity (must see)

December 14, 2009

Disclaimer: Yoli products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

With study after study coming out and exposing the truth in the beverage industry it’s easy to see why so many Americans are looking to Yoli’s Blast Cap technology and healthy drinks as an alternative to the sugary beverages in the marketplace these days. New York City has been working hard to educate their citizens about the negative impact of sugary beverage consumption. The video below says it all…

The NYC Department of Health’s newest anti-obesity advertisement makes their last fat-in-a-cup subway ad seem mild.

As you may recall, in August the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene rolled out subway billboards that showed a soda bottle pouring globs of human fat into a drinking glass, with the intent of shocking New Yorkers into choosing low calorie beverages over soda and sweetened juices.

Now, they’ve gone one step further and put the ad in video form.

While those who saw the subway ad may have gagged at the thought of someone lifting the fat-filled glass and taking a sip, those who see the latest ad now are able to watch it happen.

The video, posted on YouTube and the Department of Health website, shows a smiling man pour a soda can full of fat into a large drinking glass and then chug down very realistic blobs of fat, which drip down his face.

The short clip appears again and again between bits of information about how many calories are in an average can of soda (300) and how many teaspoons of sugar can be found in a 20-ounce bottle of soda (16).

The grand finale gives viewers a sense of what ten pounds of fat look like, not on a human body, but on a dinner plate, in case we were wondering.

Cathy Nonas, director of the Health Department’s Physical Activity and Nutrition Program says the intent for both ads, was to do something “hard hitting.”

“We’ve been wanting to call attention to a very real problem,” she told NBCNewYork.com. “We did have a very small very graphic poster in the subways but we couldn’t afford to bring it out as much as we wanted to.”

The new YouTube ad was made possible by a small donation and is expected to make its way around the Internet for a fraction of the cost of the subway ads.

The campaign is part of a larger anti-obesity initiative that includes calorie-posting regulations, physical activity requirements at daycare centers, fruit and vegetable carts in under-served areas.

“Sugary drinks shouldn’t be a part of our everyday diets,” said Dr. Thomas Farley, New York City Health Commissioner. “This video is playful, but its message is serious. Sugar-sweetened beverages are fueling the obesity epidemic, and obesity is disabling millions of New Yorkers.”

Yoli’s Business Model – Why Network Marketing Still Works After 60 Years (Video Explains)

September 8, 2009

The US unemployment rate jumped to 9.7 percent in August, as employers slashed an additional 216,000 jobs, the Bureau of Labour Statistics reported Friday.

With this recent news, most people now understand that industrial age thinking is finally dead. We can no longer depend on big corporations or small ones for that matter to provide us with long term financial stability. We have to take matters into our own hands and build something that allows us to live a prosperous life without working ourselves to death trying to make “The Man” happy so that one day we might get a raise.

With that said, I wanted to share with you the video that I watched almost 12 years ago that helped me clearly understand the power and simplicity of network marketing. This video helped me produce a big passive income at a time when I had no idea what I was really doing. I was “ignorance on fire”…and it worked.

Just click the image below and you can watch the video on another window. Enjoy!

Yoli Brilliant Compensation

This should help you understand why, as a successful business owner, I quickly jumped on board when I saw what Yoli was doing with their unique blast cap technology and how they would change the network marketing business forever.

With Yoli’s Truth Citrus Health Blast drink hitting the doorsteps of the Yoli distributors around the United States that see the vision and already understand the viral nature of Yoli’s product and business, you are going to see very ordinary people begin to build very large “un-ordinary” commission checks for themselves as they leverage the demonstratability of the blast cap technology to introduce new people to this powerful product.

I hope that the video here has helped you better understand the unique opportunity and product that Yoli is giving you and I so that we can build something great that can leverage our efforts over time to pay us whether we show up for work or not.  That is how you will ultimately escape that rate race and give you back your time so that you can live your life…

Yoli brings hope and opportunity to help others…will you step up to the challenge?

September 1, 2009

With the US economy struggling to get back on its feet, people all around me are being laid off from work and others are having their hours cut back. Many people are faced with challenges and are having a hard time seeing a way out.  I think the video below illustrates the way that each of us needs to think and live in order to help others, both in this time of need and for the rest of our lives…

I believe what Yoli is doing can bring great health and prosperity for many people that may be struggling right now.  When I was first exposed to Yoli’s mission and product I asked very few questions because I knew that they had something great.

I knew that with Yoli I could share a product that was low price, nutritious, and had great potential to help others improve their financial situation no matter how bad it may be.  I’m focused on others with Yoli.  I think in the past, I’m not sure that I was completely focused on this aspect of life and business and this time I want to help others feel better and get out of their financial binds.

Over the years, I’ve learned so much about nutrition and positive thinking and their role in being able to feel great and live a better, more fulfilling life.  Each day that I talk to more and more people about Yoli, I have these moments when my skin will tingle for a moment and its when I feel like I have helped another human being change their life for the better.

So many people are out there searching for something better.  Better for their bodies and their health.  And better for their lives and families.  I was at the grocery store last night trying to find some Gatorades with sport tops so I would be prepared for my Yoli samples showing up and I saw a woman looking through many of the “health” beverages on the aisle.

I asked her, jokingly…”Are you looking for some nutrition?”  She said, “Yeah, all these drinks are very interesting but I can’t find what I’m looking for”.  At that point, her cell phone rang and she talked to someone for a brief moment while I was looking for those Gatorades.  When she was done with her call, I told her that a new company called Yoli would be launching a health beverage in October that would change this market for the better.  I told her to Google it to find out more info.

She looked at me and said, “Really?  Thanks, I will be sure to check it out.  Y, O, L, I?” and I said yes…

I think the above example shows you that as an individual we can help others and that many people are seeking out something better.  Don’t be afraid to help others or to share something you believe to be special.  Pay It Forward…

Yoli Truth: Goji Berry Delivers Great Nutrition – Details Inside…

August 29, 2009

I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately about the Yoli Truth ingredients so I wanted to continue to break down each of the ingredients to give you a detailed explanation of each of the life changing nutrients in the Yoli Truth Citrus Health Blast drink. Below I have everything you need to know about the amazing Goji berry that is included in Yoli’s first blast to hit the market…

Macronutrients

Goji berry contains significant percentages of a day’s macronutrient needs – carbohydrates, protein, fat and dietary fiber. 68% of the mass of dried goji berries exists as carbohydrate, 12% as protein, and 10% each as fiber and fat, giving a total caloric value in a 100 gram serving of 370 (kilo)calories.[47]

Goji berries

Micronutrients and phytochemicals

Goji berries contain many nutrients and phytochemicals including

* 11 essential and 22 trace dietary minerals
* 18 amino acids
* 6 essential vitamins
* 8 polysaccharides and 6 monosaccharides
* 5 unsaturated fatty acids, including the essential fatty acids, linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid
* beta-sitosterol and other phytosterols
* 5 carotenoids, including beta-carotene and zeaxanthin (below), lutein, lycopene and cryptoxanthin, a xanthophyll
* numerous phenolic pigments (phenols) associated with antioxidant properties

Select examples given below are for 100 grams of dried berries. Other nutrient data are presented in two reference texts

* Calcium. Goji berries contain 112 mg per 100 gram serving, providing about 8-10% of the Dietary Reference Intake (DRI).
* Potassium. Goji berries contain 1,132 mg per 100 grams dried fruit, giving about 24% of the DRI.
* Iron. Goji berries have 9 mg iron per 100 grams (100% DRI).
* Zinc. 2 mg per 100 grams dried fruit (18% DRI).
* Selenium. 100 grams of dried goji berries contain 50 micrograms (91% DRI)
* Riboflavin (vitamin B2). At 1.3 mg, 100 grams of dried goji berries provide 100% of DRI.
* Vitamin C. Vitamin C content in dried goji berries has a wide range from 29 mg per 100 grams to as high as 148 mg per 100 grams (respectively, 32% and 163% DRI).

Goji berries also contain numerous phytochemicals for which there are no established DRI values. Examples:

* Beta-carotene: 7 mg per 100 grams dried fruit.
* Zeaxanthin. Reported values for zeaxanthin content in dried goji berries vary considerably, from 2.4 mg per 100 grams [48] to 82.4 mg per 100 grams [49] to 200 mg per 100 grams[50]. The higher values would make Goji berry one of the richest edible plant sources known for zeaxanthin content.[51] Up to 77% of total carotenoids present in Goji berry exist as zeaxanthin.
* Polysaccharides. Polysaccharides are a major constituent of wolfberries, representing up to 31% of pulp weight.

Goji berry polysaccharides

One study published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology found that:

* Endogenous lipid peroxidation, and decreased antioxidant activities, as assessed by superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and total antioxidant capacity (TAOC), and immune function were observed in aged mice and restored to normal levels in Lycium polysaccharide-treated groups.
* Antioxidant activities of Lycium barbarum polysaccharides were found to be compable with normal antioxidant, vitamin C. Furthemore, adding vitamin C to the polysaccharide treatment further increased in vivo antioxidant activity of the polysaccharides.
* It was concluded that Lycium barbarum polysaccharides can be used to compensate for the decline in TAOC, immune function and activities of antioxidant enzymes thereby reducing age-accelerated risks of lipid peroxidation caused by free radical production.

As you can see Yoli’s amazing potential comes from its ability to include many super nutrition in one single drink using the patented blast cap technology.
